The International is an annual electronic sports Dota 2 championship tournament hosted by the American video game developer Valve Corporation, in which sixteen teams are personally invited to compete.Valve Corporation announced The International 2012 on May 10, 2012, with the first two teams invited being the highest-rated DotA team in the world, DK, and the defending champions, Natus Vincere.
