ESL (The Electronic Sports League) has finally released further details on their Dota 2 RaidCall EMS One Tournament, which was mentioned in our previous article here. 4 Tournament Cups will be held, followed by Group Stages A & B, C & D. The leaders of the Group Stages will then proceed on to the Offline Finals, held on the 20-21st April.
Cup Stage
There will be 8 professional teams, as well as 16 A-Series qualificants from Europe, which will be invited to join the tournament. These 16 A-Series qualificants will then participate in the cups, held in a single elimination, best-of-1 series, with the professional teams skipping round 1. After the 1st round, when only 8 A-Series teams are left, the 8 professional teams will join in the cup, following a similar best-of-1 series. 4 cups will take place, with the finals of each cup being a best-of-3 series.
Cup Prizes
1st Place $600
2nd Place $200
3rd and 4th Place $100 each
Group Stages and Offline Finals
The top 12 teams from the Cup Stages will then proceed to the Group Stages, and will be put into 4 different groups of 4 teams each. To make up for the deficit, 4 North American A-Series qualificants will join them, making up the 16 teams required for the 4 groups. After competing with one another, the top 2 teams of each group will then proceed into the Offline Finals, with a total of 8 teams qualified. These teams will play in a single elimination, best-of-1 series, and the Grand Finals will be played in a best-of-3 series.

2nd Place $7,000
