It’s crunch time for our first batch of GMPGL this month. After today, we will have seven of the sixteen teams joining our GEST – July main tournament.
Indonesia is now down to its final four teams – Fory.CLP,
Queen Nest,
Joe Elite and
Veyterons. While Joe Elite is again poised to take the top spot, one of the regular contender in Veyterons looks to challenge the top spot. Also, newcomers on the GMPGL ID Fory and Queen Nest are also looking to be no pushover. In fact, Fory almost eliminated Joe Elite back at our AMD ID qualifier.
Only two teams remain on our GMPGL Non-SEA, with Indian teams Oblique and inFAMOUS facing each other for the region’s only slot. Meanwhile, the Philippines just finished a massive 233-team first day – and they are now up to the final eight teams. The top four teams, after a group stage elimination format, will advance into the GEST – July main tournament.
The brackets can be found here:
The top two teams from Indonesia and the top team from the Non-SEA tournament will advance straight into the main tournament of GEST – July. However, the top three teams from the GMPGL PH this Saturday still needs to go an even tougher eight-team tournament this Sunday, on which the top four teams will go through the main tournament.
The registration of GMPGL Malaysia is also ongoing, and it will be open until this Sunday, 14 July. However, the tournament proper will not be happening until a week later, as it will be held 20-21 July. The registration form can be found here, and more information can be found on Mineski’s article. The GMPGL Malaysia and Philippine tournament will be conducted by Mineski, both of which will be held on LAN environments.
Prizes vary for different country/regions.
