Changes are abound in the Philippines Dota 2 scene as MSI Philippines, in partnership with TheNet.Com, sponsors a Dota 2 tournament in a bid to promote Dota 2 amongst Warcraft 3 DotA players. This comes in the wake of Dota 2 being officially added to the Gigabyte Mineski Pro Gaming League, or GMPGL. The theme of the tournament is Time 2 Shift, aimed at promoting the Philippines shift towards Dota 2.
Recently, MSIEvoGT’s Warcraft 3 DotA squad have begun the transition into their Dota 2 squad, as they thought it that it would only be proper to focus their talents and resources into the future of the Dota 2 scene. The MSI Dota 2 Open Tournament 2013 is scheduled take place on Saturday, 2nd of February, at the TheNet.Com shop in Lerma. 32 slots will be available, with all participating squads will be given five beta keys each after registering onsite. Over P10,000(U$D 245) will be up for grabs, alongside MSI sponsored gear, such as the “Game On Shirts”, Lanyards, and Baller IDs.
