Mineski recently acquired a seperate Dota 2 team to represent them at the TI 2 East Qualifiers. Several questions were raised as to why did not their own Dota Team get to play and raise the Filipino banner in the said Qualifier. A lot of controversy arose and so much so that the CEO of Mineski was forced to release a statement.
Now in a financial perspective, I know Mineski PowerColor won’t reach top 8 even though they got invited, then I thought, “Why not have them focus on Dota 1 and try to win all tournaments at hand where they can bring home cash prizes and make their family happy? Rather than courting 2 girls at the same time and in the end have both girls gone?”
The new Dota 2 Mineski Team have already been dumped out of the TI 2 East Qualifier. The new team didn’t perform good at all. Was it the right decision to acquire a new team? The decision to acquire a new Dota 2 Team by Mineski right before the qualifiers has angered thousands of Filipino fans and Mineski fans across the world.
