UPDATE: LGD.cn had been demoted back into the TI3 Eastern Qualifiers, while TongFu was promoted as a directly-invited team into the LAN tournament to be held at Seattle this August.
It was only in mid April that Xiang ‘LongDD’ Huang joined LGD.CN, a mere 3 weeks ago. However, this has changed with his brief stint in LGD.CN coming to an end.
In an extremely heated argument with tempers flaring, it was alleged that Jia Jun ‘Sylar‘ Liu struck Xiang ‘LongDD‘ Huang over a dispute and confrontation. Rumored to be about LongDD’s teamwork issues and co-operation, Sylar had this so say during the argument:
“We were nice enough to give you a chance here, if you aren’t gonna play, then get the f**k out.”
Although the physical aspect of this confrontation is not confirmed, Sylar made the following statement on his Weibo account:
“I woke up and rumors are already running rampant. I can’t believe there are people who thinks I resorted to physical violence. This can’t be more difficult.”
“Eight years of Dota, five years of professional play, I have given it my all. Today’s despair is the payback for past excesses. I hope that for my future, I will walk the right path, not go astray. Thanks to all the friends that I have known all these years. On the stage, good luck to you.”
“One of Valve’s most valued criteria in selecting invitees is team stability and the latest incident may very well threaten LGD.CN’s chances and possible automatic invite status to TI3.”
Other sources have make their way into this matter, with the transcript of a conversation between LongDD himself an a fan.
LGD Gaming made the following announcement on their Facebook Page about the rumors:
Hello. Here is the official announcement regarding our team and LongDD. Both parties parted ways on a mutual agreement, nobody was hurt (as reported on some forums) and there was no verbal fights. We are really happy that LongDD represented us the recent weeks, and we wish him all the best in the future.
His replacement is none other than DD who fully recovered from his ea surgery. He will practice very hard with them in order to excel in the upcoming tournaments.
Last but not least, The International 3 invite. We are waiting for Valve’s decision but no matter what they decide, we will respect it.
Thanks for your support.
The future ahead seems to be rocky for LGD.CN, but it is expected that they will still be taking part in the upcoming G-1 League, and The Dota 2 Super League. Their invite to The Internationals 3 is in jeopardy as the moment, as the original invitation was for LongDD, not DD. There is a thread on Reddit about this incident, for more information.
