The tournament presents an exciting new format, as not only the podium finishers will get the prize. Instead, half of the joining teams will earn themselves a reward for their win.

Because of the format, a maximum of only 16 teams will be admitted. All in all, the prize pool is 500 USD worth of steam wallet, with the Champion getting a quarter of it.

Basically, every win will garner a team a ‘bounty’. These bounties will be accumulated as the team advances into the tournament. For easier understanding, please refer to the following illustration.

The Dota 2 The Bounties tournament for Indonesia has ended after an exciting weekend featuring Indonesia’s best teams.

The tournament presents an exciting new format, as not only the podium finishers will get the prize. Instead, half of the joining teams will earn themselves a reward for their win.

Because of the format, a maximum of only 16 teams are admitted. All in all, the prize pool is 500 USD worth of steam wallet, with the Champion getting a quarter of it.

Basically, every win will garner a team a ‘bounty’. These bounties will be accumulated as the team advances into the tournament. For easier understanding, please refer to the following illustration.

The four rounds of the tournament was split over two days of action. The teams were halved on the first round alone, but the good news is that the other half were already deemed as winners for the tournament. Unfortunately, some teams weren’t able to show up because of private reasons – including top seed Joenet PNM. This opened up the tournament for the other teams, with each having a bigger potential on taking the top prize.

The three other invited teams in Veyterons, Ultimate and TLeR.Reborn flexed their muscles and won their respective second round matches. ThunderBuddies also made their presence felt after winning their second straight match. Defisite Lose and NexTrue unfortunately will not have any bounties as their previous wins were from forfeits, but Flaming and NEST|NM will both get their hands on the bounty,

TLeR.Reborn handily disposed TB on their semi-final match, while ULTImate took the match against Veyterons. These two teams set to meet on the finals were Indonesia’s representative on the previous Pride Challenge.

ULTImate then proceeded to win the whole tournament via a decisive 2-0 win over their rivals. Their second win was emphasized with a surprising but effective Slark pick-up. The full bracket can be found here.

The elimination stages of the GMPGL Malaysia, Singapore and Non-SEA was finished yesterday. Also, registration for GMPGL Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and Rest-of-SEA is now open.

To determine the participants of GEST, eight different national/regional GMPGL qualifiers are held monthly. So far, four of those qualifiers are already finished.

Philippines: Mineski.Razer, Dreamz.Ledion.Steelseries, TnC Gaming, Gangster.Blaque - The Philippine GMPGL, hosted by Mineski, was dominated by Mineski. They didn’t drop a single game en route for a very strong performance before the TI3 East Qualifiers. Dreamz, last month’s champion, place second. TnC placed third yet again, and Gangster climbs the top four to enter the GEST Tournament.

Singapore: Zenith, Netolic.SG - Zenith made their triumphant debut on the Gigabyte-sponsored tournament, lording over decisively over the strong Singaporean bunch. Netolic.SG, previously known as AFD, placed second. Last month’s top two finishers Neo.int and First Departure failed to qualify for GEST this month.

Malaysia: NeoES.Orange , Inv.GIGABYTE- Orange takes their usual spot on top of GMPGL Malaysia, but the runner-up was taken surprisingly by Inv.GIGABYTE. The regular second-placer of GMPGL Malaysia happens to be very strong on the main tournament, but it seems that they aren’t making it there this time as Invasion.MUFC lost to Lowyat on the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Non-SEA: NEVERENDING HEADACHE - Yet another Oceanic team took the Non-SEA slot, as Neverending Headache won against China’s The One on the finals.

The rest of the GMPGL qualifiers will be held weekend, as the GMPGL regional tournaments for Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Rest-of-SEA and the all other Non-SEA teams will all be running on 25-26 May. An allocation of 32/64 slots will be given for each qualifier, depending on the number of teams registered. Registrations for all 4 country/regions are already open and will close on 24 May. Further information for your respective country/region’s GMPGL can be found at:

Mousesports gets a direct invite into The International 3 after defeating DD.Dota 3-1 on the Grand Finals of the West Qualifier. DD.dota, on the other hand, will proceed into the Wildcard tournament, where they will be competing against the runner-up of the East Qualifier tournament slated to start today.

While Mousesports didn’t have the best start for this tournament, they still secured the invite after a very strong finish. They seemed to be a different team after losing to DD.Dota on the playoffs – since then they took seven wins against just one defeat to close out the tournament.

The majority-French team was actually the strong favorite heading into the Championship. They topped Group A and also headed over the Championship via the Upper Bracket. They did not have a one-game advantage though, and mouz was clearly determined and poised on that last series.

The German squad, led by syndereN, won the series 3-1. They stormed to a quick 2-0 lead to start the series, but dd inched closed on the third game with their second Razer pick of the series. The fourth game sealed the win for mouz, as they had better laning and made good use of that to farm Alchemist up.

With that, mouz will be heading into Seattle as a sure participant for TI3. Meanwhile, dd.Dota will also be heading to Seattle, but will have to fight it out with the East Qualifier’s runner-up for the final slot of the tournament. syndereN’s previous team, mTw, won the TI3 West Qualifier last year.

The East qualifier will start today with two matches on Group A.

Similar to the West Qualifiers, the top team on the East qualifier will be invited outright into TI3. The runner-up will be facing against DD.Dota on the Wildcard for the final slot of the event. TI3 East Qualifier is scheduled this 20-23, 28-30 May.

GEST May started with the first batch of GMPGL yesterday, 18 April. Usual names end up on top, lead by TI3 bound teams in NeoES.Orange and the newcomer for GMPGL, Zenith. A surprise was made though, as Lowyat surprised defending Champion Inv.MUFC on Malaysia’s GMPGL.

The RGN Pro League is a double round-robin tournament, which means that every team will face all others twice – once as Radiant and once as Dire. The top six teams then after that stage will advance into the finals. The whole tournament is expected to be running for nine months.

The nine-month period already has a one month break covered, which will be from mid-June to mid-August. This will be to accommodate the team’s participating on The International 3. So far, four out of the ten participating teams are sure to go to The International. The schedule also allow teams to reschedule when there are conflicts on LAN tournaments.
