GEST August is now over

The all-Pinoy clash in the GEST August edition finals was one of the best series played in September, which crowns a new champion – Mineski!

GEST-August

MSIEvoGT.TnC debut with their new roster featuring the Wootz-RR combo had them cruising through the GEST August group stages, not to mention taking down Team Impervious in the semi-finals of the event. AMD.Mineski on the other hand only lost a single game in their GEST August run, the single game being Lowyat.net E-Sports in the semi-finals as well. However, it was the Philippines that dominate GEST August, and it was brought down to a best-of-5 finals.

Mineski started the first game with Jay’s signature hero Puck, as well as an Outworld Devourer for the midlane to control Badburn’s Templar Assassin. JyC’s Windrunner was not able to carry their team against the onslaught of the Outworld Devourer and JessieVash’s Alchemist, and they soon tapped out.

MSIEvoGT opted for an aggresive tri-lane in Game 2, using the initiation power of Jakiro and Earthshaker against Jay’s Lifestealer. However, Storm Spirit got out of hand too fast, and the Lifestealer bomb claimed Game 2 for Mineski yet again.

Game 3 of the series was all about one skill – Black Hole. The presence of an Enigma as well as Rubick means that positioning and timing was the game changer of this game, and Rr on the Rubick proved that MSIEvoGT.TnC still had a fight in them as they wiped Mineski off the map with a 5-man Black Hole. However, Owa was even better, landing 5-man ultimates 2 separate times which lets them force a GG 31 minutes into the game.

AMD.MINESKI ARE YOUR CHAMPIONS FOR GEST AUGUST!

GEST August standings :

1st place – AMD.Mineski (USD 1,000 + 5x Corsair Vengeance 1500 7.1 Gaming Headset)

2nd place – MSIEvoGT.TnC (USD 500 + 5x Corsair Vengeance M95 Gaming Mouse)

Philippines Showdown!

Yesterday, games between the semifinals have been played out. MSIevoGT.TNC managed to defeat Singaporean powerhouse Team Impervious with a hard fought 2-1 victory. While previous champions, AMD.Mineski advances to the grand finals by taking out Lowyat.net eSports within two straight games.

Now only two teams stand againts each other upon claiming themselves champions of the Gest 2 August edition with a total prize of USD 1000 and x5 Corsair Vengeance 500 7.1 Gaming Headset. Will AMD.Mineski once again remain triumphant by being back to back champions or will MSIevoGT.TNC fight up until the end to topple Philippine’s top team AMD.Mineski?
