AMD Premier League releases rest of invited teams

first published on April 20, 2013 by admin

The AMD Premier League had disclosed the rest of the invited teams. These invited teams will need not join the qualifiers, and instead will be seeded straight into the main event.

The latter four teams to be invited round up the best teams on the SEA. The Singaporean teams in First Departure and NeoES.Int (majority Singaporean) are consistent great performers, while both MiTH.Trust (GEST March) and Joenet PNM (GMPGL ID, HeavyArm) are on very great form.

Non-invited teams will have to go to the regional qualifiers if they would want to reach the 5000 USD main tournament. The regional qualifier will resume with its second batch of qualifiers this coming 22-25 April, with a VN+MM+TH qualifier and a West Asia qualifier. Today is the last day of registration, as the tournament will start tomorrow.

Winners of the Steelseries Sensei RAW are linked on the image above. Only two persons got four teams right. The third winner was the first person to have three correct guesses.

Of course, DotaTalk will provide extensive coverage for the event. There will be a wide array of casters across at least five different languages. The main event will be lead by BeyondTheSummit.

The Champion  of the main tournament will receive 3,000 USD, the runner-up will get 1,500 USD and the second-runner up will get 500 USD.

Futuremark® Corporation released the new 3DMark® this month, and the performance results are in: AMD is a top-to-bottom winner in this important benchmark. Don’t take our word for it, though, as the press had quite a lot to say on the topic:

  • “AMD Beats NVIDIA in New 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme Benchmark”
     Bright Side of News
  • “AMD seems to generally perform better in the new 3DMark test, the Radeon HD 7970 GHz is for example clearly faster than the GeForce GTX 680.”
  • AMD Radeon™ holds 8 out of 10 spots in the fastest single-GPU scores at one of the world’s largest hardware enthusiast sites.
